You may have stocked your nursery with all the necessities for bringing your new baby home, but before you leave for the hospital, don’t forget these must-have, post-delivery items:
Nursing bra and breast pads: If you’ll be breastfeeding, be sure to pack a bra that lets you nurse comfortably and nursing tank tops.
Sanitary napkins: Yes, hospitals provide these, but it feels better to have the brand you use regularly.
Maternity underwear: This is especially helpful if you’ve had a c-section and can benefit from a more generous fit over your incision.
Slippers and warm socks: Hospital rooms tend to be kept at extra-cool temperatures. Plus, if you’ll be making daily treks from the maternity ward to the nursery, comfortable footwear is key.
Your own pajamas/robe and a headband: Speaking of treks to the maternity ward, having your own comfy clothes is a plus, and a headband helps tame pillow head with a minimum of fuss.
Toiletries: Toothpaste, a toothbrush, lip balm, and a hairbrush will make you feel like a new woman.
Eyeglasses: If you wear contact lenses, you can’t be bothered with trying to put them in when you can’t get around as easily.
